Deeply expressive and uplifting, it remains one of Vaughan Williams’ most beloved works, a luminous tribute to the transcendent power of music.

Join the Amethyst Chamber Soloists and Amethyst Project for a beautifully evocative celebration of the summer night in the Bowdoin College Chapel. The program features Barber’s Sure on This Shining Night, Berlioz’s Nuits d’été, Margaret Bonds’ Three Early Songs, and Debussy’s Beau Soir, culminating in Vaughan Williams’ luminous Serenade to Music.
